  Capital Override Information

Technology is ever changing. New programs and devices, faster connections and greater capabilities are regularly introduced dramatically changing our lives. Students today must understand and utilize technology to become successful tomorrow. The Madison Elementary School District strives to prepare each student for this economically competitive world by providing the resources and skills they need by incorporating technology into their daily curriculum.

Continuation of the capital outlay override will not only replace aging technology in our classrooms but will provide new instructional tools such as video streaming and simulation software that allow lessons in all subjects to come alive. Teachers will have access to advanced instructional support materials and data decision making tools and Madison’s entire technological system will be supported by enhanced infrastructure.

In addition to technology, override funds also provide for new curriculum adoptions in science, math, art and music and preventive maintenance measures for our facilities.

The Madison community is routinely named one of the “Best Places to Live in Arizona” by Phoenix Magazine, due in part to the high quality of education the district provides. Madison is a destination community with families seeking relocation opportunities just to attend the district schools. This attraction to Madison maintains high property values and a sense of pride for all of Madison’s residents.
